Plustek P12000 Scanner Driver

Plustek P12000 Driver. I was told by one of their rep that the Window2000 version driver is the same with Window Xp for my outdated 12000p scanner. So I went in this web site and downloaded the Window2000 Version of the driver under the choice "12000p" on the left side menu (the last one in the page), and it worked, the problem is that you don't have a direct software to run this, you can only switch on and off the scanner with this driver -- but not the scanning itself, to solve this problem, I downloaded IrfanView 3.8 from www.download.com (run a search for IrfanView 3.8 and it will usually come up), that software is now my default scanning control (by the way, there are a lot of softwares that you can download, IrfanView is a freeware, that was why I picked it). Now, I'm not a computer whiz, I'm not going to guarantee everything, for those of you like me who want to save several bucks, time and a lot of energy, it's not bad to give a try. Again, I'm not going to guarantee it will work although it did work on me.
