UMAX 600, 610 driver - UMAX Scanner Drivers

Once you have installed the driver you should reboot the machine for it to work.

IF Windows XP asks where the driver is then it is always at the c drive under "c \astraslimXP" - however, I did not have to refer to this directory when I installed it (everything just worked perfectly after rebooting).

Since this driver is the very same I just used 1 hour ago then it works perfect (and is NOT corrupted in any way).

After searching thru driverguide I could not find any WORKING driver for the Umax astraslim scanner which wokrs under XP. The ones posted did not work. However, after 2 days search on teh internet I found this driver and it works PERFECT. My own scanner is 610 so I honestly do not know if it works for the 600 series also but I think it would (basically, the scanners are the same in the 600 and 610 any way). The driver is about 2.5 MB so it is quite big but you will also notice that it comes with good improvements in terms of "ease of use". Once you have installed the driver you should reboot the machine for it to work.
