While there is no official XP driver, I futzed around a bit and found you can use this scanner perfectly in XP if you do the following: 1. Make sure the scanner is NOT PLUGGED IN! 2. Unzip the file maxkernl.dll to the folder C:\Windows\system32. 2. Unzip the included Win2k driver installer and run it. 3. Plug in the scanner. 4. If/When you get the message that it can't find the file Vipersti.dll, browse to the folder C:\windows\inf\vizPnP. 5. Happy scanning!!! (I figured this out because I found this scanner for $3.99 at a Thrift store, I just HAD to take a shot at it...)
