Compeye scanner Smartkey 9636P is identical to IBM Ideascan probably manufactured bym the to be marketed by IBM). I wasn't sure, but as my scanner was inoperative under Windows 2000, decided to give it a shot. Some tweaking was needed, especially with the button assignments. Compeye bundles their scanner with a different photo editing software. Procedure to change the button assignment is explained in Help, or if you still have, in the Ideascan operator manual. By the way, I have been bugging IBM for the W2K driver and they said there may be one released in the future. Regards, Jerry
