For all you suckers out there trying to get your Linotype Scanboostar (ELS-2700)scanner with SCSI adapter to work under Win2000 Professional, here is a solution. 1. Download this file (it's BIG) 2. Once it has been downloaded, doubleclick the file. A DOS box will appear and the contents will be extracted to a number of new folders (disk1 etc) 3. Run VSSETUP.EXE in the DISK1 folder. This will install the Vista scanprogam. Once it has finished installing you should see an icon on the desktray (right-hand bottom corner). Rightclick on this icon and choose scannertest. If you Linotype starts purring, you are in business! Good luck.
